Privacy Policy
MicroVoyage is a free browser science game in which you navigate a nano-probe through a microscopic biological environment. This policy explains what cellular data we collect when you play.
1. Information We Collect
Our data collection is as microscopic as the game world. We may receive:
- Standard browser request headers — IP address, browser name and version, operating system, and referring URL.
- Your personal best cell count, stored only in your browser's local storage and never transmitted to any external system.
- Anonymous aggregate voyage counts that cannot identify any individual researcher.
2. How We Use Information
We use data only to maintain the simulation, fix technical errors, and understand general play patterns. We do not run ads, build behavioral profiles, or sell data.
3. Local Storage
Your record voyage distance is held in local browser storage. Clearing your browser data removes it entirely — we store no copy on our servers.
4. Third-Party Services
Fonts load from Google Fonts via a standard HTTP request. No other third-party services are involved in the game.
5. Children's Privacy
MicroVoyage contains no violence, no gambling, and no in-app purchases. The probe simply stops when it contacts a cell wall. It is suitable for all ages and works well as an educational-style experience. We do not collect data from users under 13.
6. Data Retention
Server log files, if any, are kept for a limited operational period and then deleted. Locally stored gameplay data is on your device only and subject to your own browser settings.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold. Because we collect minimal data, fulfilling such requests may have limited scope in practice.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical measures to protect any data we handle. No internet transmission method is fully secure.
9. Changes to This Policy
We update this policy by changing the date above. Continued play after an update means you accept the revised terms.
